Librarian-Directed Visits |

- Librarian-directed library visits are special programs especially designed for school groups.
- Visits are open to all children attending schools located within the library district.
- To accommodate the many schools we serve, visits are limited to ONE PER YEAR.
- ALL visits must be scheduled in advance.
- Visits will be presented in English unless other arrangements have been made at the time the visit is scheduled.
- Group limits are: 30 for preschool and Grades 4-6; and 60 for grades Kindergarten – 3.
- Tours are available at the following times September 8, 2008 - April 30, 2009:
- Mondays 10:00 a.m. & 1:00 p.m.
- Tuesdays 9:15 a.m.
- Fridays 9:30 a.m. & 10:30 a.m. & 12:30 p.m.
- To schedule a visit for preschool through 6th grade, call 847-429-4685.
Available programs are described below:
Preschool & Kindergarten - Small group story and activity program with stories and more. The program includes a brief time for free play in the Early Learning Center.
1st - 3rd Grades - Come enjoy a library tour as well as age-appropriate stories & activities.
4th - 6th Grades – Customize a visit to fit your curriculum. We will be glad to work with you to design a visit that will demonstrate Internet resources, showcase Graphic Novels or share the fun of reading. For book related visits, please plan ahead so that students bring library cards.
