What Do Library Volunteers Do?
Welcome and direct visitors at the Greeter Desk.
Act as a guide for visiting groups.
Pull books requested by patrons.
Clean books, videos, and art prints and dust shelves.
Read shelves to maintain order.
Collate summer reading kits.
Sell at book sales.
Photocopy.
Assist at special events.
Deliver materials to Homebound patrons.

How Do I Become A Volunteer?
Pick up a volunteer application from the 2nd Floor Information Desk, or complete an application online.
After completing the application return it to the Information Desk.
The Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to set up an interview to discuss your interests, schedules, and skills.
Are you a teen entering grades 7-10? Become a Volunteen! Applications are available at the Youth Center help desk beginning December, 15, 2011. Teens in grades 7-10 are invited to perform a variety of behind-the-scenes volunteer tasks. Weekly one-hour after school or evening timeslots are available. A limited number of teens will be accepted for each time-slot, so please apply early. An application is available in the Youth Center and must be completed in advance to volunteer.
