Gail Borden offers computers for public use. We are committed to increasing digital literacy and technology education through basic one-on-one assistance and classes. The library’s purpose in providing these computers is to encourage self-instruction and personal enrichment in computer technology.

Basic technology assistance is provided by staff – users assume responsibility for learning to use the software.

Printing Costs:

$0.10/page for Black & White prints/copies

$0.25/page for Color prints/copies
 

Multi-function SimpleScan Stations are available at Main and Rakow. Make copies (prices reflected above), scan to email or USB (free), or Fax ($1/page USA/Canada, $2/page International)

Library card required for computer use. Guest passes are available for non-cardholders.

Main Library Computer Center

The Computer Center offers Windows 10 PCs with access to the Internet, Microsoft Office 2019 products and a variety of other applications.

    • Gail Borden card holders and reciprocal borrowers can use a computer for 3 hours per day.
    • Visitors without a valid library card may receive a guest pass.
    • The Main Library Computer Center serves users from 9th grade and up.
    • Two people are permitted to sit at each computer station.
    • All user information and documents are deleted upon signing off the PC. Users are encouraged to save files to a flash drive, email themselves information or upload documents to a cloud storage account.
    • The computers must not be used for the transmission of material that is unlawful, obscene or otherwise inappropriate. Failure to comply with these guidelines will result in patron suspension.
    • Misuse of any computer or its related equipment will result in the loss of computer privileges, plus the cost of repair or replacement of any damaged equipment.
    • Please be respectful of others within the library. Library staff reserves the right to terminate a patron’s computer session.
