The cities of Aurora and Elgin have been working diligently to get everyone counted in the 2020 Census. Together, these two cities make up approximately 45% of the Kane County population. Mayor Irvin and Mayor Kaptain will headline this coming together event that is all about the importance of getting everyone in these cities and Kane County counted. With a push from both of these large Kane County cities working together and everyone in Kane being "all in" for census, organizers plan to lift the participation in the Census in Kane County to at least 75% (currently at approximately 72%) by August 11 when the Census begins to visit the homes of those who have not filled out the Census form |
