Elgin Fall Community Carnival Prize
for Summer Reading Finishers

UPDATE 9/27/19 at 1:43 pm: The Elgin Police Department has just confirmed that the carnival is cancelled for tonight (Friday, September 27). As of right now, rain dates still apply.

Added rain date: Saturday, September 28      1- 5 pm
Rain date: Sunday, September 29      1- 5 pm 

 

2019 Summer Reading Program finishers (up to grade 12) who received a coupon for an all-ride wristband and
free gate admission can redeem it for an evening of fun at the Elgin Fall Community Carnival.

The free gate admission is redeemable for only for one day. Choose one redeem your ticket when you arrive.

If you finished the program and lost your ticket, stop by the Main Library Youth Desk to get a replacement.

Chaperones do not need to pay an entrance fee, but adults who wish to ride must buy tickets.

2019 Summer Reading Registration

May 31 – August 3

Pick up a summer reading log at the Main Library, South Elgin Branch, Rakow Branch, Bookmobile or start logging at home with our online reading log: gailborden.beanstack.com

Birth to Grade 8
Read all summer and log your minutes to earn a book and prizes! Start picking up prizes on July 1.

Prizes include: choice of a paperback book or a mini-bundle of comic books (while supplies last), pass for one free swim at Wing Park Pool or Lords Park Pool, and coupons from local businesses.

Teens and Adults
Read and log your books to enter the drawing for fabulous prizes!

 

Family Adventure Prize

Families that finish the summer reading program together will earn a chance to enter a drawing for 10 passes to a Kane County Cougars game, 2 free parking passes and one person in your party will be able to throw out the first pitch!
