RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds are a way to keep up-to-date on your favorite websites. It can be helpful to think of RSS as a Really Simple Subscription. You are essentially subscribing to a particular website and getting information sent to you as it is published.
Who has RSS Feeds?
The library has many RSS feeds you can subscribe to. We have RSS feeds for our upcoming programs & events, the GoodReads & Movies, Music, & More Blogs, and over 20 eNewsletters about books, movies, and downloadables. See our entire list of RSS Feeds. Many sites use RSS feeds to keep their users up to date, just look for the RSS icon (a standard symbol for RSS).
How can I receive RSS Feeds?
There are many services you can use to receive RSS feeds; these are called “feed readers” or “newsreaders”. Two popular and easy to use readers are Google Reader and Bloglines.
